When almost everyone in the showbiz today bark their vocal cord out after being criticized, here’s David Simon, the writer of Homicide: Life on the Street, who forcefully ‘demands’ that people criticize him and his work.

Having written one of the best cop shows ever, David earned colossal name and fame when he went on to write shows like The Wire, Generation Kill, and the most recent one, Treme. He is known for creating shows that always stand out from the horde.

He believes in his work and puts the best that he has, which is something that makes an artist great. To see David speak like that isn’t a surprise. He is ready to accept criticism, as he believes it means that his work is being regarded.

He points out that everyone has a right to express their opinion, because different people will perceive a particular work differently. And that means that there will be some new insight coming in for that work.

That won’t hurt anybody, surely!

Anyone, who will download David’s work, like Homicide: Life on the Street, would be able to see how significant all the points discussed in his work are; they are accurate too. This brings me to what David further quips about.

He says people can come up with their criticism, but they should ensure they are not arguing about the story being factually inaccurate.

They must always take care that their criticism shouldn’t come labeled as a challenge to the story that one is telling; he does not want his right to tell a story be infringed upon.

I totally agree with David’s viewpoint. Homicide: Life on the Street just did not seem to have any factual error, and no one should stop someone from writing shows like that. (Glad no one did!)

I think it is for these reasons that David’s work stands out from the rest.

That’s the way to go David!

I cannot imagine ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’ without Jon Polito and Dr. Steve Crosetti, the character Jon plays in the series.

He was diagnosed with a cancer called multiple myeloma the disease of bone marrow plasma cells which is still incurable!

But, my friend Jon Polito is a fighter and is literally kicking out the cancerous cells from his body. The medicines which are a combination of new drugs, chemotherapy and stem cell transplant has worked for Jon.

He is responding to the treatment which is still in its research phase. But, he is really thankful to the doctors and the research, otherwise his story of life would have taken an ugly turn.

For Daniel Baldwin, Homicide would have taken place not anywhere out on the street, but inside his house. But thanks to his wife’s law-violating act recently, he can breathe a sigh of relief.

Daniel, who is now expecting a result in the divorce case he has filed recently, revealed recently that there must have been at least ten times in the last two months that his wife threatened to slit his throat while he is asleep.

Counting his days that would legally separate him with Joanne Baldwin, Daniel has been living some fearful, tense moments, and it readily seemed as if the TV show may as well get reprised inside his house.

But what Joanne did recently may just pacify Daniel’s mind, if not make him feel happy. But we would never know if it did calm his tension, would we?

Anyway, coming back to Joanne’s act, the Mrs. Baldwin was under probation after she was earlier busted in a DUI case. She, while still under probation, gulped some alcohol down, thereby violating her probation.

As it stands right now, she has been sent to Clackamas County Jail and she would remain in custody until July 20. What will happen thereupon isn’t made clear either by police or Daniel himself.

What are you hoping for, Daniel? Is there any wish that might be sneaking back there in your heart? We wouldn’t know, and would never know at least until the divorce is finalized. Thereupon, if Daniel so desires, he might just spill some beans so that I can tell you about it.

In the meantime, you can download few stunts out from Homicide: Life on the Street and feel the thrills!

Many would agree that there’s barely any other man in Hollywood that can play a villain as perfectly as Yaphet Kotto does. His bulky frame, bloodshot eyes, and imposing voice, are enough to have a shuddering effect on one.

However, the journey to the top hasn’t been an easy one for this man, despite him having all that it takes.

Now a successful director, as well as a veteran actor, Yaphet recalls certain events of the past that shaped him the way he is today, some tainted with a shade of grey.

Surprisingly, the actor’s six-year-long stint as Lieutenant Al Giardello on Homicide: Life on the Street is one of these memories.

Talking of his role on the show, Yaphet said that he felt like a beggar on the show – always begging for a substantial role. He said that he just got an occasional line on the show! He would come along, speak his line, and hang around for the rest of the week, waiting for his next line.

He went on to reveal that whenever he urged the makers to give him more lines, rarely succeeding in his quest, for he was already doing great.

If you agree on that, you can watch him playing the character on Homicide: Life on the Street online.

It seems that the actor’s patience eventually paid off, because that role made him a household name. He went on to become involved in the writing of the show, a stint that’s largely responsible for his success today.

Yaphet also reveals how he was forbidden from getting cozy with his co-star, Sigourney Weaver, during the shooting of Aliens. This was meant to build up the real-life tension between them for the climax scene.

Yaphet now laughs off the incident, saying that he’ll never let a director do that to him again.

Well, all said and done, there is no denying that this guy is here to stay!

Wadud, a former owner of the hot-spot, Nirvana, is suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Apparently, he has also gone bankrupt and is totally insolvent.

Wadud, through his secretary, Presten, made a statement, “I am deeply hurt”.

Meanwhile, Lynn Robnett, who is a representative of Belzer’s company, has rubbished all such allegations and proclaimed that it is Wadud, who is not picking up Belzer’s call and Belzer has no reason not to call him.

Robnett also defended Belzer saying that he had arranged for a call from Belzer’s side to Wadud, but he didn’t answer the phone, a single time!

Read what he had to say!

“I don’t think it’s necessary to portray Richard in a bad light,” wrote Robnett, when Shamsher “is the one not returning” calls.

An agitated Presten answered back saying, “Why in the world would Shamsher not return the phone call he’s been waiting for several weeks?”

He added, “Shamsher doesn’t want anything from Belzer. He just wants to hear some encouraging words and recall old times.”

We all just cannot believe this!

I guess, all of you are aware of the fact that actress Melissa Leo has been nominated for this year’s Oscar Awards, for her role as Alice Ward in ‘The Fighter’.

Melissa Leo - watch Homicide Life on the Street season 7 episode 21 online

Melissa Leo

Recently, the star released her own Oscar campaign ads, to make sure that the award for the best supporting role comes and falls in her kitty.

While I provide you with more inputs about this developing story, you have all the opportunity in the world to download Homicide Life on the Street episodes from here.

As per reports, the actress is shown appealing to her fans to consider her for the Academy Award.

She played the role of a mother in this path-breaking movie.

While talking about her Oscar campaign, Melissa said, “I took matters into my own hands. I knew what I was doing and told my representation how earnest I was about this idea.”

Even though it’s an altogether different idea, I feel it to be a something like screaming-from-the-roof top kind of a situation!

No doubt, the former Homicide Life on the Street star has a huge fan following; but getting an Oscar campaign video done, is something that none of her fans would want her to do.

If she is so confident about her performance in the film, then should have left it to the fans to decide.

By the way, if you wish to see her as homicide detective Kay Howard, then access Homicide Life on the Street full episodes online here.

Frankly speaking, it was an amazing detective show and die-hard suspense lovers loved it throughout the 7 seasons.

If you wish to revive one of the spine-chilling investigations, then watch Homicide Life on the Street season 7 episode 21 online.

Coming back to Melissa Leo; I would like to say that she should not be so desperate for the Oscars, as she has already proved herself to be a stupendous actress.

Before leaving, I would like to wish her all the best, and hope to see her dream come true, at the Oscar night.

Until my return with a fresh update, you can always enjoy all the happenings of Homicide Life on the Street season 7 online here.

You are probably aware that the actress Melissa Leo has grabbed a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Mark Wahlberg-starrer ‘The Fighter’. Recently, Leo talked about her much-acclaimed role of Alice Ward. Let’s find what she had said. However, if you want to catch a glimpse of the actress, then download Homicide Life on the Street from here, since the show is now off air.

Melissa Leo - watch Homicide Life on the Street online

Melissa Leo

“For me to observe my Alice Ward now is one of the most fascinating experiences I’ve ever had as an actor,” said Melissa Leo about her role.

In the movie as well as in real life, Alice Ward is the mother of the fighter Micky Ward.

You know what? Initially, Leo wasn’t in favor of taking up the role. While shedding further light on that topic, the 50-year-old star revealed that she hadn’t had the script, at the beginning. But when director David O. Russell explained everything to her, she decided to go for it.

I know there can’t be any comparison between her role on Homicide Life on the Street series, and that of the recent blockbuster.

But, I would like to add that she was simply awe-inspiring in the shoes of detective Kay Howard. Her character was thought-provoking, and in many of the instances, we found her to be more reasonable and realistic in dealing with crimes, than others.

If you wish to revive some of the riveting moments involving Howard, then catch Homicide Life on the Street episodes online from here.

Coming back to her big screen appearance, I really want to see Melissa Leo winning the Golden Globe Award. And I am sure the role of Micky Ward’s mother would help her to clinch an Academy Award nomination.

In 2009, she had been nominated for the Oscar for her role in Courtney Hunt’s path-breaking drama ‘Frozen River’.

Her aura of popularity is so massive, that most of the detective show-lovers still watch Homicide Life on the Street online, to enjoy Melissa Leo in action.

On that note, I would like to take your leave, but you can always watch her show Homicide Life on the Street along with all its episodes, through the online services available here.
